This is a terrible question to ask a classical musician - I will be here for the remainder of the year! I don't ever have absolute favourites with music (hence the difficulty in me answering this question) but to answer this question, my favourite instrumental song would probably be Rhapsody in Blue (George Gershwin). One of my many dreams is to be able to play that on piano... some day! I have other favourites like Stranger on the Shore (Acker Bilk) and Classical Gas and...

Yep, I'm looking forward to a holiday with loved ones as well :) Schindler's list is quite something. The first time I saw it I was stunned. The second time I cried.
I love Gershwin- and also Scott Joplin's entertainer. My mum used to have a tape called 'Trumpet carosell'- I loved that too.

I haven't seen Schindler's List either, but I've heard the violin solo, and that almost makes me too sad to see it. But one day....one day...
I really liked my surname too and was very sad to lose it when I got married. Hey, I guess the trade off of my husband was worth that though! :)
Schindler's List is a good movie. Hard to watch sometimes because you know it is something that really happened.

I haven't seen Schindler's List either. Oh, except for the end! I was doing an education "field experience" and visiting a classroom and the class was finishing it!
